This thread is for a simple need, to identify a map by its screenshot.
If enough people show interest, i may stick it.
Yes, this is a legit, serious thread.
It will be treated as such.
Useless garbage posts (IE empty box maps) will be removed.
My first request, is what map is this:
(http://farm1.static.flickr.com/116/252909647_6cc573c490.jpg) (http://flickr.com/photos/virgolamobile/252909647/)
I don't get it. ;D Is it a game like name the game, or are you actually wondering what map that is? In ether case I have no idea. :(
its like name the game
looks like flood.
http://jherax.bleasedesign.com/
That is Flood, one of the maps that sadly did not make it into the standalone release.
i should make a hollowed box and take a screenshot! then no one would ever guess! xD jk
is it only for well-known/popular maps?
He is asking that because we can see that map on official screenshots : http://tremulous.net/screenshots/page_4/ (http://tremulous.net/screenshots/page_4/)
This is real, help thread, not a stupid dumb thread.
If it was a stupid dumb thread, the part of the post where it says Paradox would say something like noob.plox
And i am saying that because that map appears on flickr.
As far as I can tell, its for identifiying maps from screenshots and videos.
A useful thread I think.
Yes it is.
As i said, i might stick it if interest prevails.
Sticky? Are you crazy?
Stick? This is a subforum aimed at helping mappers. Off-topic is for fun.

How do you generate that lighting effect? (where the areas close to the light sources are brighter that they would be with r_fullbright 1)
He might have used point lights instead of surface lights.
Is this map available to download?
Looks like a darkened cleanser

additive billboard (deformvertex camera or whatever it is)?
hmm could flood be ported? or would it even need to be...
Bother the old developer guy about it.

r_intensity 2 and r_overbrightbits 4 gives a similar effect.
