I am trying to make a map (again)and is coming along great just have a question on the best way to make a underground tunnle leading to the ailen base. so what is it. do i have to do it by hand XD or can i make a wierd shape hollow and then gtk subrtarct the front and back or what? oh btw does anyone have a moddle palb tree like in that egiption map that stats with a H (i am not even going to try spelling it). I say no. Because it's shorter than yes.
But sometimes you can't take the short way.
For ex. sometimes you need to type /n and can't just press return.
Ok i am sorry that i spell stuff incorrectly. I just wanted a simple question answered and judging by your post the only way to do it is by hand. Thank you for the links they are really helpful. By the way i don't know how to use blender but i know how to use AC3D which i can make a tunnel in and import it to blender.
Trisoup (http://www.haosredro.com/trem/img/radiant2.png) (terminology for an area of a map created using many triangular brushes) may be an option. This gives you a fairly comprehensive level of control over the geometry of the area since individual triangles are the fundamental elements in any 3D scene. If you create the tunnel as a model then export to Radiant then you'll need to caulkhull and hint afterwards.
See SimonOC's tutorials (http://www.simonoc.com/pages/articles.htm) for instruction on how to create decent rockwalls/floors/caves/tunnels.

It's funny - I'm doing the exact same thing, except I'm doing it all by hand, ring by ring. I'm just making tunnel prefabs that can be slapped together, though. It's not very fancy, but it'll work for me.
i found a good way to do it. its to make it on another map and import it into your current map saves a lot of time that way you can make 4 different tunnels and choose the one you like best for the location in your big map. thank you for your help though!
