Probably atoms. Or strings, depending on what we go by these days.
And it is also invariably people who have just gotten high-end spec machines who post these threads, which here makes me wonder since trem will run fine on even oldskool machines.

Ironically, for its reputation of being old-box friendly, Trem actually does have problems when it comes to auto-downloads. (Compatibility issues with the CURL libraries that come standard in 10.3.9)

Assuming that I only play Tremulous right now, my computer is completely useless because Tremulous only requires:
700 MHz x86 CPU
256 MB RAM
Intel GMA or 32 MB nVIDIA GeForce2 or ATi Radeon 7000
Stereo sound card
125 MB free hard drive space
56 kbit/s Internet connection
Oh well... A little bit more Tremulous and then I'll switch to Crysis and UT3.
