Matthew Breit (http://lunaran.com/page.php?id=2) told me that he is going to release his maps (I assume his non-release-version Quake 3 maps) in the .map file format under the GPL, as well as the textures. Here (http://forum.freegamedev.net/index.php?t=msg&th=711) you can read the dialogue so far.
Now I know that your maps have specific needs for being balanced, but perhaps his maps can still be of use for you.
Tell me what you think and if you want to adopt/remix the maps to Tremulous as soon as they are released.
-
Have you played any of them (http://lunaran.com/page.php?id=4)? Which do you think might make good Trem maps?
-
I've released all my unfinished map projects under the GPL. They aren't really good(as also quoted in the readme), and are for curiosity's sake anyway. You can get them here (http://megatog615.chozosanctuary.com/?page=tremulous).

No i did not.

The maps probably wouldn't work well for Tremulous since they were designed for Q3A gameplay.
More GPL or CC textures will be most welcome though.
-
Lunaran? Woohoo. Even if it would only be textures.
-
they cant be included in trem if they are gpl + they arent designed for trem + they wont have include the textures = pretty useless imo.

Why can't they be included if they are gpl? It's not clear but I think Mark's going to release the textures too.
On a side note @admins: You really should eliminate this karma thing, it makes me very biased and confident in disagreeing with gareth.
-
Ah darn gareth, you always spoil my day :(. And everyone disregards karma around here anyway. Just read a post and decide its worth from that.

The maps are out by the way: http://www.lunaran.com/page.php?id=196

Old news.
-
did you already know it from somewhere else?
-
Whatever. It's new to me.
