Title: Community Map Development
Post by: Paradox on March 31, 2008, 05:30:36 am
Well, dont know how well this will fare, but i have great hopes for it.

What it is is a large map, developed by many seperate developers. Sort of an experiment in community development.

If you wish to help/contribute (good) ideas, join us at
http://os42tremmap.sourceforge.net

The map will be called Orbital Station 42

Please allow anyone to edit the .map file. .map files are simple text files and thus can be used with GNU Patch. You'll also need a versioning system like SVN.

Not really. I've seen Paradox "use stuff" wrong before.

I'll give this a go, I guess.

Edit: Your activation email thing is broken, I've tried it twice now and it hasn't sent.

I'm pretty sure that an admin has to activate your account before use.  Amirite?

Oooh! I'd love to join!

Can I do the reactor? That's always one of my favorite things to build (Look at Gamma Core 2's screenshots :P )

Errrr....I'm not a mod. I just won Judge's Choice in the Service Facility contest for my 'innovative' iris doors in Station15-beta1
Thanks, though :)

I think that this project will get one of two results:
1. Fizz out and have nothing produced. (Worst-case)
2. Make a very... interesting... map, that I would love to try out. (Best-case)

I can't imagine this experiment ending in a boring map. Crap, maybe, but definitely not boring.
