Title says it all - Whats your opinion on maps with backround themes or songs? Think in other games/FPS's where the levels in them have a good (Or bad!) song or theme to them.
Note: this poll Does not mean il be putting sped up versions of sweet home alabama in maps, i just want to know the opinions of evreone. :P
No, just don't. Sounds particular to an area are fine as long as they're not too loud (jetpack comes to mind). But forcing music is a nono. If they want to listen to stuff they'll put it up in winamp or another mediaplayer during play.
Not a full song... but as an easter egg...maybe... ;D

Yeah, i agree to that. You can make it localized, but no ambient music please. And to add to this, is there any way you can adjust the volume of sounds? Like having one drone2.wav play on high volume, but have another drone2.wav on low volume (preventing having to use two different sound files for just alternating volume)? Sorry for the semi-hijack btw.
no! music gets really annoying after the song has been repeated 25 times
My opinion?

Background music is obsolete for a multiplayer game like Tremulous.
Global music in MP games = fail
Area music in MP games = win provided you do it right.
