Well, in these days I found many hovel glitches in almost all default maps.
The bugs are similar to the hovel bug in ATCS (that has been fixed)
All those new glitches allow a granger to spawn outside of map (and then build there)
I have tested those bugs on many servers; some mods are not affected.
From my tests, I can say that svn966 and svn1024 are affected.
To avoid noobs using them, I should not make public those glitches ???
But I have to show some of them, so someone can hopefully fix them.
[edit]please don't post screenshots of bugged hovels on the forums, the proper place to do that is the tremulous bugzilla (http://bugzilla.icculus.org) (or if you don't want to create an account pm me on the forums and i can post it for you) -kev[/edit]

I definatly agree... Maybe if/when 1.2 tremulous is released, some of these problems will be fixed, but it's kinda hard to track down where the bugs are =/

well, usually, if u hovel or egg glitch, u get banned from most servers. i mean, its pretty obvious whats going on.

if you are warned & continue you should get banned straight away.

It really isnt that hard to detect anymore. If your running pgqvm or a qvm using our patches, you have the /builder command. Point that at an egg, and you see the guilty victim.
-
its easy to fix just make it so you cant build a hovel with in 4 ft of the wall.
-
Lets make it so you cant build anything unless it is in the center of the room.
Oh wait, what about floor glitches.

I have an idea about a possible fix of all hovel bugs:
the granger exiting the hovel should not spawn in spots around hovel (like happens now); it should spawn exactly where the hovel is.
So, the position of hovel and the exiting granger coincide; then, something like a "slap" or the "spawn-block protection", should make the granger bounce out of it.
In this way the granger can't go out of map.
Don't know if this can be done, it's just an idea.

If you place a hovel underneath thin texture going up, glass for example you go inside then come outside above the glass, i dont think you can do that bug in any defult maps but i found a few you can do it with

Like mine. :D Fixed though. :P Can't adding player clips to those areas affected during construction make said maps impervious to such abuse?

Yuh i powned your map >_> i dident want you to fixed it :(
Now i must find another glitch on your map to annoy you with

Whould it be posible to make everyone who goes outside of the map die. Like have all the space around the map with high damage.

I didn't know a map could have any monetary value, and therefore be something that a pawnbroker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pawnbroker) would be interested in letting you pawn.
Unless you mean something else, but that wasn't English so I don't know.

If this is a real bug and really effects svn code, why can't I find it on bugzilla.icculus.org?

Apart from the fact if the bug is real or not, bug reports do not belong on these forums, they belong in Bugzilla.
