Hello,
I recently was trying to make a test map to see if i could compile right.
I placed the files correctly and the .bsp/.map files are in base/maps/ and the .pk3 is in the /base/ directory.
Now, when i try to load my map it sais "cant find map maps/***.bsp" (*** replaces my map name)
Thanks for your time!

check bsp name sometimes ppl type special character (misstype)
'/devmap '_name_of_bsp'
-
sv_pure 0

If your using vista, gtk cannot save files into the original programfiles/trem/etc directory, so try going to [Username]/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/ProgramFiles/Tremulous/etc. That's where my gtk stores the .maps and .bsp's etc.

Bladibladibla, don't try to troubleshoot without actually taking the time to read the original post.

I didnt mistype it and im using windows XP.
:P any other suggestions?
i dont want sv_pure 0 as im going to be giving actual map creations to servers and people.

sv_pure 0 is just something you have to set in the tremulous client when you want to load .bsp files that are not in a pk3. It has nothing to do with your map itself.
So, when you start up trem, open the console and type:
/sv_pure 0
then
/devmap mapname
And it will work, provided your .bsp really is in /base/maps.
