Title: WIP: Overrun Carrier (name subject to change)

I'm working on a new map at the moment. So far, I have the bay doors all brushed up, and a lot of the hull completed. I still need to do a lot of it, and it still needs a bridge, bases, and a part where the aliens have landed 'pods', where the eggs will be.

This is the basic layout:

As you can see, I suck at that kind of thing, but you get the idea.

The bridge is going to be a valuable base. It has viewscreens, so you can spy on the enemy, doors that can be locked, and several vents large enough for a crouching human.

The engine room is also going to be a good base. It will have several places to put an Overmind or Reactor, and will also have a few view screens. These view screens will only show inside the engine room, however. The engine room door can lock.

The starting bases won't be too great. They'll have several large entrances, no doors, and a lot of vents.

The brig (near the engine room), will be an easter egg of sorts. You'll be able to lock your enemy in, and torture them in various ways.

Speaking of easter eggs, there will be several of them. There will be secret vents, secret passages, so on. Maybe I'll include an airlock, or a testing lab, where you'd be able to test things. I was thinking of putting in a forcefield contained liquid ball, an antigravity generator that makes you float, so on.

can you make ss from radiant atm how look that ship ? or is that only an 'artwork' of it?
When i get boored in school i can think about it :P

No, its ugly. I only have one texture for the whole hull. I was actually just about to post that I need textures. I suck at 2d images.

I could go run the concept art through the scanner, though, so you can see what I'm aiming for.

Yeah it will work fine (remember Edit button not double post ^^)

i found one pack with textures but cant upload it ... it get always (rapid or else hosting) over 100% and never stop (^^)

hmm it looks like 1lv ship without lower cargo or upper places... like in tremor(? :P) hmm...
try to scale it up and (best will be) in 3 dimmension

Zyuka, carriers are supposed to be at least 1km long. And usually, they would contain hundreds of rooms, half for ship-related stuff (since its a carrier).

I suggest you create fake malfunctioning doors so that you wouldn't have to map a whole ship, that might take hours to compile when done. If i were you, i'd make a passenger transport, or some small (400m?) ship, that if mapped completely wouldn't look so unrealistic, unlike tremor. Getting a good skybox would be a hard task too ^^

amd yeah i got idea about that...
i mean make hole in hull and doors 'sealed' with those black/yelow stripes ^^ with litle glass that show small [ ][ ][|][ ]
with flying items (func train) or (rotating train if it is posible)
but i mean 'how big room should be'

lava there is no map it is about 'idea' what to do/what will help in fullfill map (i think so ^^)

There will be 4 floors. This is not the same size as the concept indicates.

i suggest you to work on it litle bit more and upload more of your artwork so we can 'try' to help you :P
atm info is not sufficient to do something usefull (i cant help you at this moment)

What we mean to say is that it's better to first show us some work, that way people can much better judge it, and help you out. Trying to make people visualize the same thing as you is pretty hard, having visuals that reach beyond ASCII-art to support your ideas can help out a lot.

just download gtk radent and make a basic model of your map on that.  then press print screen and upload the pictures.  For me its easer then drawing

wow sry i uh ok maybe i am just stupid post some screenshots of your map by using print screen so we can see how to texture it
