Title: New Record
Post by: Foe of Eternity on May 11, 2008, 05:51:33 pm
I hope this doesn't count as spam :-\ but i think 193 (set on April 09, 2008, 01:13:34 PM) can be beaten.

If everyone comes on the forums at one time, that record could be beaten easily. Currently, there are 3590 Members, over 18x the record.  If everyone logged in at maybe, may 24, 2008, the record can be broken.  If you can think of another [better] date, plz feel free to post it here.  If you object, or think this message is spam, post here too or start a poll.

Yeh, I'd say there is maybe 250 active forum members. At the most.

Yeah, this forum has been up since somewhere during 2001. That's like 7 years worth of members. You think someone from 2001 would still frequent this forum? Except for the devs that is.

Both are still active!
(I wish Lava Croft wasn't!)

Norf is a dev. Lava must be some trem-addict to spend 7 years of his life on a game. I mean, trem is an awesome game, but 7 years isn't worth it.

Lava does it for all the chicks.. you stick around for 7 years you can meet like .. 4 or 5 chicks!
If you like doing something it is never not worth it.

I'll probably be online that day because i'm online pretty much every day.

The main reasons for sticking with Tremulous are very simple, really. Most of the time, the playerbase was so tiny that getting a good game going required planning. This meant a few hours of Tremulous per week, so the poison came slowly. The other reason is the simple fact that if you see a group of competent people have belief in a good idea, it's not too hard to share in their belief, and tag along.

And the significance of that in this thread is? :P
Exactly the same as the sygnificance of your post.
