Title: macradiant (1.4) is evil
Post by: Sisial on May 13, 2008, 11:15:14 am
So I got this thing running and all was well and good...until macradiant stopped listing Tremulous on the drop down menu when it started up. I found that if I added back in the very last "/" then it would show up in the menu...but it wouldn't run. Suggestions? Perhaps I can add something in my code somewhere that will allow the / to be there without messing up synapse.config? Please help

I haven't mapped on Mac since getting my new comp (bootcamp ftw), but I think you're trem.game file might need a looking at.

If you have a basic understanding of scripting and config files, just screw around until it works... That worked for me.

Yar, that's what I've been trying. I've even been trying to make tremulous supported by the macradiant software...which mostly involves looking at all the .games' files that came with macradiant and making copies specific to tremulous. However, I'm hesitant to take this too far, cause I don't know what I'm doing :P Thus I have come to Trem forums for advice...please?

So I solved the last problem...it was not complicated after all...on the other hand I now have a new problem :)

I keep getting this message:
"Failed to load project file.
Please enter a valid project file."

I hit okay, I go to /applications/Tremulous20060704/base/scripts/default_project.proj

And then I get the same message. Advice? Is it just a problem with my default_project.proj file? Thanks!

Nothing necessary, but it'd be nice to post how you fixed the problem. For future users/searchers. I don't use a mac so i cant help you though. Good luck anyway :P

weeelll, for the previous problem I just had a dyslexic moment and wrote syanpse.config...in my defense I didn't sleep last night and that's when I installed everything so I was a little...loopy you could say. Not exactly a brilliant solution, but I guess if people find they have problems they should probably just go over every inch of their files for a few more hours :P

That is a bitch... I have NO idea how to fix that. All I know is that that error is also available on Windows :D

Maybe one of the more pro Windows users knows how to fix it.

Well, i didn't get any errors when i installed gtkrad 1.5 on my vista laptop... Although this is remotely significant to anything here. Maybe you should just switch to Windows/Linux and map there?

Lol, lets not start a macs vs. PCs thread here. Suffice to say I'm working on it and I'll let you all know when I fix it. I'm pretty sure it's just a small problem with the project file itself. Just a matter of changing and trying things until I get lucky :P
