Hi, first of all Tremulous is great. I bought GFX card mostly for it :P (I haven't 3d one :P - I didn't need it under linux anyway...)
Stages idea is good. It just work. But....
I read in another post something like "I watch TV when I'm waiting for 'oon". Hmm I don't... I like to earn my evolv..
My idea is to give alien new 'upgrades' (huh, How to call evolvings?) faster if they are near the Humans base, or maybe by 'combat experience' (If my alien fought with others and survived...) Maybe if smaller alien it would work more... The general idea is to promote team-work in 1< aliens on 1 Human scenario. You know, 4 small aliens on 1 battle suit (I know i died, but I helped)
Or to keep this simple, just count every single bite..
Ahh I can't speak about Humans, I just don't get them :P

Mythbuster:
to get evo points you need damage, not kill-count (so your idea with every bite, allready works)
second part:
A party-system, thats no joke, earning credits/evo for attacking in a group that would be great (maybe set the multiplicator not TOO high)

Sorry about that. I didn't have time to read the code.. and manual says "As you gain kills, you may use your earned frags" so I was suggested by that.

Evo/credit fact: Humans get their share of credit for each dead alien. The alien that does the most damage to some human gets full evo point, everybody else gets nothing.

Correct.
The alien that does the most damage to some human gets full evo point, everybody else gets nothing.
Incorrect.
Both teams have 'frag-sharing'. This is just harder to see for aliens as their evolve points work in much smaller numbers.

Yes, Jext is correct this is why a granger can end up with 9 evolve pts in only 10 minutes if the aliens are killing humans left and right.

I take it back!
[10:51] <jex|work> Timbo: "Errr, no. You don't get evo points for killing but for hurting the dead guy more than the rest of your teammates. If one alien hits the human for 21 points, 3 other aliens for 20 points and the last alien for 19 points, the human is dead and the 21hp hitter gets full evo point."
[10:51] <jex|work> that is incorrect, right?
[10:53] <Timbo> no, that's correct
[10:53] <jex|work> really
[10:53] <Timbo> though if the human is worth several frags, it'll get divided up
[10:53] <jex|work> interesting
[10:54] <Timbo> you don't accumulate partial kills or anything
next_ghost is correct.

So next_ghost ist only partially correct. We (db@) play with teamspeak most of the time and discuss alot about who gets what frag and "stolen" whose kill... :D
Killing a Battlesuit with a horde of dretches usually gets multiple evo points, distributed on the attackers.

Either way, I would love to see this in manual.
