Just port trem to your brain so you don't need a computer to play it. And since trem is so buggy I'm going to take advantage of that and get rid of you.

I think very few of us have the time and expertise to port a massive amount of C++ to anything else.

I thought it was C ..

Well, on some files TextWrangler says it's ANSI C, on others it says it's C++. Anyway, I think C++ got its name for the ++ operator.

otherwise known as the crytek 2 engine...
Title: Re: port trem to fortran
Post by: Taiyo.uk on June 15, 2008, 04:46:43 pm
You will hand craft Tremulous 2 entirely in assembly code. Once for every architecture you wish to run it on. You will write the graphics portions of the engine in GPU assembly code - the R600 ISA documentation (http://www.x.org/docs/AMD/r600isa.pdf) is available so you can start that now.

...and pull yer finger out too, else I'm going to start shitloads of "OMG RELEACE TREM 2 NAO!!11" threads.

No. Crytek have no input for FC2. FC2 is all ubisof. The CryEngine2 is the engine used for Crysis (and presumably Crysis 2 and 3 as well). Dunia is being developed by Ubisoft for FarCry 2.

[talking about fortran]

fastest most powerful programming language ever

also port trem to saturn 5 guidance computer

Just for that you are going to write it in 4004 machine code and it had better work EXACTLY the same.

P.S. no MMU or bank swapping either

I am an asshole who copies and pastes images (http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?topic=8352.msg128670#msg128670) from threads that Kohrylite has previously posted.

For some misguided reason I feel this gives me worth as a person, and in the community as a whole.  I am a complete and total bag of douche.

That is all.

Agreed.
