Title: No new version?
Post by: Ildamos on June 16, 2008, 02:59:27 am
^Subject.

Any plans? If so, when is it coming out? Such a great game should be continually updated.  :basilisk: ;D :basilisk:

SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND.

By the way I'm starting to think we should have a sticky in every board that says there is no new version of Tremulous out yet. Please do not ask.

Also Ildamos, I'm not trying to bash you personally, it's just been asked so many times I think my idea is good.

You think all your ideas are good.

Searching IS a good idea.

The same due date policy as Duke Nukem Forever applies to the next Tremulous release:
Quote
The release date of this game is "When it's done".  Anything else, and we mean  anything else is someone's speculation.  There is no date.  We don't know any date.  If you have a friend who claims they have "inside info", or there's some game news site, or some computer store at the mall who claims they know - they do not.  They are making it up.  There is no date.  Period.

And yes, we know the game has taken a long time.  There's no possible joke you could make about the game's development time that we haven't already heard.  :)

It's all a big conspiracy.

And Kaleo, that was sort of an attempt at sarcasm.

No problem Mooseberry. My bad. It's actually been eons since I last visited this forums and I've been itching to write a review of the game for my site so I can spread the word to my friends. The lack of updates is disheartening --- Trem is very much a very innovative game. It's nearly right up there with Starsiege: Tribes. Admins may delete this thread if they so choose. Good day all!

Actually, people are updating Tremulous source all the time, just take a look at the SVN from time to time and you'll see the revision number go up slowly. There is no *official* new version yet, however.

Msk is the last person to update Trem's SVN repo since April 18, exactly 2 months ago, the last time TJW posted. In that 2 months, he has made 5 revisions.
Timbo hasn't updated since April 11.

Either the dev team is working on something top secret, or they are taking a well deserved vacation, after years of development.

By the way, who is MSK?
He didn't seem to exist a year ago.
