Hi I need the synapse config file for GTK 1.4. The great and glorious tutorial is missing so many links... If anyone can post it here that'd be very nice
-
This may not work for you because i use the mac version, but i dont se why not.
Here is my synapse.config: http://rapidshare.com/files/124756980/synapse.config.html
Hope you can start out on mapping :>

Okay thanks :D I'm gonna test it out now ;] It looks like it'll work on Windows
I dont know if it worked or not but theres some runtime errors. When I start GTKRadiant 1.4, the tutorial says you should be able to select tremulous from the drop down list. Tremulous is not there, and i have put all the files in the correct places.
Here's some of the things that MIGHT be wrong (solutions needed):
1.) On GTK 1.5, there was a trem.game file (not to be confused with trem.game.txt), in the "games" folder.
In GTK 1.4 I don't see the trem.game file.
2.)I saved the trem.game.txt file according to the tutorial and it is supposed to be saved as trem.game.txt (.txt as the file type), not trem.game (.game as the file type) right?
3.)Maybe the Mac synapse.config file didnt work properly.
I can post screenshots of the files in my directories if it'll help figure out the problem :/

Well, I use MacRadiant 1.4 and I know it's supposed to be trem.game, not trem.game.txt.
The synapse.config is probably universal. There doesn't appear to be anything in there that would have a different effect from platform to platform.
-
Hm when I saved the XHMTL code i saved it as trem.game and for some reason it still comes out as trem.game.txt. >:
-
Try renaming it to trem.game then >.>
-
If there's a checkbox that says "Hide Extension" or something like that, uncheck it. Then rename the file to trem.game. Try renaming the file in the Get Info or Properties window or whatever it's called.
-
Yeh it's not the trem.game it's something else but i still cant figure out wut :c
Meh I'ma just scrap everything and reinstall o:
Edit:
Hey actually guys this just hit me, but recently I've installed Windows SP3. As all windows products they always release too soon and take years to get all the updates and patches working to fix the bugs. So perhaps my problems are just because I have SP3?
-
Could be, could be. New updates may well cause compatibility issues.
Look, if you want to use GTKRadiant without too much hassle, get Ubuntu and go wild.
-
Not that I'm complaining or anything, but I find the Ubuntu radiant to be very buggy, in comparison to the Win XP radiant... :D
But it's mostly just my craptastic comp...
-
"Craptastic". There's a new word. ;)
-
Problem solved, I had to downgrade back to SP2. Anyways thanks for the synapse link guys :D.

No problem.
