Title: Getting info for -1 servers!
Post by: Elephant on June 27, 2008, 06:38:54 pm: I have been having a problem getting a server list. I set the source for internet and clicked on get new list but still I am not able to see any servers. I gave tremulous access to the internet and as far as I know I am not having any trouble with my internet access. I look through most of the other posts on these kinds of problems and still have not found anything that could help.

Post by: Lava Croft on June 27, 2008, 07:24:24 pm: Look for the file named servercache.dat somewhere in your Tremulous folder. Removing it should solve your problem.

Post by: Elephant on June 27, 2008, 08:16:19 pm: So i removed the servercacher.dat file and I'm still having the same problem. The file also gets replaced everytime I tried to get a new list.

Post by: Lava Croft on June 27, 2008, 08:25:46 pm: Well, that has always fixed the problem for me. Try searching the forums for more threads about this subject, since I'm pretty sure there are some threads dealing with this problem.

Some of the crappier windows firewalls try to filter by program etc.

Post by: Elephant on June 27, 2008, 09:13:12 pm: It just says Windows Firewall for mine, I put tremulous on the exceptions though so it should let it have access but I could be wrong. I also turned the firewall off and tried getting servers but that didnt help either.

you probably have a firewall denying it internet access.
