Just a quick question. Let's say on average you get around 90 fps. Does that change when you open the console, since you can't see your fps reading and all? Or does the console not register frames to the reading you get? Also is there a mod that maybe has the fps meter in one of the bottom corners so you could test that?

im pretty shure this shouldn't go in off topic but its too late now
-
It can always be moved or deleted.
-
Different HUD's have the lagometer in the bottom corners.
And to asnwer this question : No your fps dont change with console open as far as I've seen.
Even uncapping your fps it should hold steady unless something changes in the immediate area
-
Cool, thanks.

Well, when i bring mine down, i see atleast a 5-10 fps difference, not sure if thats me or not but w/e. Transparent consoles FTW

Transparent consoles FTW
How do I get one of those?
-
Easy instruction for transparent console:
Open notepad and copy that:
console
{
nopicmip
nomipmaps
{
map textures/tremor/purple.jpg
blendFunc add
tcMod scroll 2 2
}
}
Save as XXX.shader (e.g. super-transparent-console.shader, warning it can have only letters, letters, _ and -, don't use spaces!)
Make folder "scripts".
Put shader to folder.
Put folder into "zz_transparent-console.pk3".
Run Tremulous.

Eh..... I'm not willing to test that yet....
-
It didn't work. I put zz_transparent-console.pk3 in my base/ folder and nothing happened to my console.

Thats a pk3 mod, it will not work on pure servers, i have a client mod.
