Let me save you a lot of time and say that the key to a good map is balanced gameplay and good looks. Hollow pipes have nothing to do with it.

Copy the outside cylinder, resize it to be smaller, go to Curve -> Matrix -> Invert. That will invert the cylinder. Then you make patch meshes for the tips.

...hallow pipes...
Hallow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hallow) pipes?

I was able to make a pipe but when it came to making the endcap i had some trouble.
Then you make patch meshes for the tips.
I tried making a patch mesh but i cant get a clean hole in the middle. How do you do it well?
-
You can do it by making another cilinder as wide as outer side, and move some of its vertices to match the inner one.

From the pipespammer's guide to plumbing in radiant:

finally i made a hallow pipe but it takes forever to make that patch. 1 hour of work! but now i know how to do it thanks for the help! ;D
-
??? it took me 3 min to figure out the way I used to do it and less then a min to replicate that tutorial after reading it

Only problem is these pipes looks awkward at any value of r_subdivisions other than 4.

Then you can make the pipe from a single cylinder patch (http://www.haosredro.com/mapping/pipe1.png). You need to add six rows to form the double rows needed to make the hard edges.
