OMG I tried everything it must be hopeless I just dont know how to make a game.qvm! Can someone just tell me step by step and making a qvm, does it include installing and downloading and moving one file to another???THIS IS SO CONFUSING!

@Lonly: There is no need to use ALL CAPS, people will notice your thread anyhow. Using ALL CAPS will mostly just annoy people, and make them not help you.

1) Please calm down.
- Stop using ALL CAPS for your thread title; that's why it was read 8 times but nobody answered you.
- Please try using less gushing, n00bish, OMG-type statements; no-one can get a handle on what it is that you want/need, and therefore you will be ignored.
- Try to use proper punctuation, to make reading your query easier, and not just to convey your overwrought sense of helpless, desperate confusion.
2) Please provide a little more information and a little less hysteria.
- What operating system are you using?
- What are the machine specs, and what is the connection?
- Are you trying to create a dedicated server, or play on the same machine as the server?
3) Please try to document what you are trying to do.
- What did you download, what have you tried to do with it so far, and what happened?
- Please read the many sticky threads concerning setting up a server, and refer to the instructions from one of them when asking for further assistance.
- What other processes or programs might be running?

i got another question...how do you read a qvm?

like your server though i am hardly on it :D
can you make/lone the TIM clan your server (comes with a qvm and admin.dat, which i have and will soon be in public)

I understand why this post was created, but what I don't understand is asking someone to join your clan and make there server a clan server for you?
Is that really necessary?

sure...how do you edit a qvm or see what the qvm is doing or says? also that statement about the server is it nessasary? what you mean? if you want a successful clan and a place to tryout and train you need a server! :D

i have no idea :D ill research and think about that question and when i'm fully knowledgeable of that question i will let you know so that we are both knowledgeable of that question :D

You don't.
qvm's are compiled code, like an exe or dll. Except there a bit different so all the tools to decompile programs won't work.
Luckily, tremulous is released under the GPL, so anywhere you see a qvm there should be a link to the source near by.

You download the source, change it, and compile it.
Before you can do that, you need to learn the basics of programing in C, and get a working compiler etc.

if my memory isnt bad there is the source (I think the qvm is compiled already)

Thats how to compile it, what is inside the folder is the SVN revision.
If it is already compiled (It must be in the Build folder) just copy the Qvm, and use the following guide.

thank you so much snake! i tryed the first link and i don't really understand it. Its just install this and that. Not really that helpful.

Well, isnt that hard to understand, instead that you dont speak english.
and i suggest to you first to learn some logic of programming and a little bit of C if you can. Or just use a stock qvm, like lakitu7, you can always try the first link, normally the people when follow instructions dont fail.
