Tremulous Maniacs
What kind of clan is the "Tremulous Maniacs"? Well, to be perfectly frank,
the TMs are no clan at all, using the ...(TM) or ...[TM]-Tag just tells the
public that you - officially and intentionally! - do one thing:
Play reasonable.
Altough this seems to be a funny statement at first, it isn't. Tremulous,
being a pretty "open" game, has one characteristic that is very often a
problem, namely that you just don't know if you can rely on people you meet
in a game, especially when you are playing on public servers.
Does someone have the minimum of knowledge required to play the game in a
matter that makes sense and does not just get the other players angry
because this "someone" is ruining it?
So, any Tremulous Maniac DOES do the following things:
- We all know the manual.
- We have already played all of the different alien classes and tried out
all the human's weapons. - We know all the standard maps and do not get lost the moment we step out
of the base. - All this implies that we have some experience in the game.
- If we build, we have a basic understanding of what we are doing. We may
not be the best builders in the world, but the other players can rely on
us to make a base that will do its job. - We help repair if it seems to be neccessary.
- We build if appearantly nobody else does.
- If someone yells a "come on", we join this person to form a group of at
least three players if possible, and then go out to attack. We only don't
if we build, feel very much "underequipped" for a successful raid or if
following would mean to risk leaving the base undefended.
Tremulous Maniacs do NOT do the following things:
- Decon.
- Feed.
- Teamkill for any other reasons than accident or - if really necessary - to
get a blocker out of the way. - Fooling around with lucifer-cannons, grenades, flamethrowers or claws.
- Leave the base completely undefended at any time.
- Being perfect. We play this to relax (after a hard day's work maybe), to
have fun, to enjoy ourselves,... that's it. Any other reason goes second.
Remember: It is a game. But not any game - one of the best, of course :)
If you think you meet those requirements and feel your attitude towards the
game mirrored in what you just read, feel free to use that tag, in any
colour you like.
Remember: This is NOT a clan. It is a - moreless loose - association of
people who do not intend to be "uber-leet", but just enjoy this game and
want to play it in a way that that makes it worth playing even more.

Okay, but - how do I advertise this "guild" (I am not a "gamer", did not hear this one before in that context) so that more people even know about it? I doubt that an ingame-ad would be liked, for I would not like ingame-ad either I guess. Or is it okay?
