so i try getting on trem today and for some reason it keeps freezing up my computer.
the blue console opens up, it runs through everything, then it goes to full screen, except i keep getting a grey screen that doesn't go away.
then my computer freezes so i have to manually turn it off and back on.
i've been playing trem for a while and this has never happend.
anyone know what it could be and how i could fix it?
btw, i have of course tried reinstalling it... and it didnt work.
:/
HALP ME? ???

install the graphics drivers for your graphics card

Is it only Tremulous that causes this lockup? Have other OpenGL games started doing this as well?
-
so why would i need to do this if it was working just fine yesterday?

tremulous is the only game i play.
so i wouldn't know.
and this has never happened before, so idk why it would just start doing it now.

It happens to me, but I just wait about 10 seconds for it to go away... Sorry if this didn't help much. =S

lol yea didnt help much.
but btw, "hi ripe :)"
anyways, i don't think its got anything to do with my graphics.
not like i know much about pc's but i opened an old runescape account to see if my graphics card would work and the game ran fine.
so i definitely don't know what's wrong.

runescape is not going to tell you if your graphics cards are ok.

Do other OpenGL games run?
-
I'm guessing he has no idea what you mean. He also said that he plays no other games, so it's not too helpful anyways....
Try running Google Earth (if you have it) in openGL mode (go to options) and see if the graphics are messed up.

OMFG CAN'T ANYONE JUST TELL HIM TO DELETE A CERTAIN FILE(S) OR TRY RE-INSTALLING TREMULOUS?
-
He said that he already tried reinstalling. But checking your base folder for any files that shouldn't be there may help... Or try opening console to see if there are any errors.
