hi, im new to running trem and such.
HELP!
when i ran trem the first time, as i was running it, my other monitor bwecame really brightly colored and weird, like someone had urned the brightness and contrast all the way up.
now every time i restart, it does the same thing, and i have to open trem and close it to get back to nnormal.
this is obviously a big inconvenience.
so help is appreciated

On every start tremulous adjusts the brightness for your screen. This is a feature. On shutdown, tremulous should set the brightness back to it's old value. In your case it does not. This is a bug.
I suggest that you update the driver for your graphic card. And for further help plz post some info about your Operating system and. graphic card.

KK, im running XP home sp2, and i have a ATI Sapphire Radeon 2600 512mb graphics
also, trem does set the brightness back when i shut down it, but when i restart my comp, then when it starts up, my screen is screwy.
heres the weird thing, only one of the sc reens is screwed up, my secondary stays fine. And i tried switchin primary to secondary but that didnt help. Im hopng its not my monitor, that things freakin sweet!

well i use linux. So i can't help you here. But what about your video drivers? latest version installed?
-
When tremulous is forcefully shut down the brightness stays at which point it was set ingame. The only solution to change this is not to forcefully shut down your computer and/or tremulous or to apply a shortcut to a set brightness in your gfx card configuration software and us it once when this happens.

I just came across this: http://releases.mercenariesguild.net/client/
Quote from the manual:
* Hacky workaround fix to the bug that gets some Windows users stuck in software gamma mode (Lakitu7)
So maybe this client can fix your problem :-*

I don't think that this is the problem.

I'm sorry, but I just cannot contain myself:
