Title: Selection?
Post by: amz181 on September 30, 2008, 05:36:20 pm
Right, i got me floor, and how do you select a certain part of it.

Like i want to delete a part of the floor in the middle, and another example is that i only want a certain bit to be textured.

help me please, i know there must be a way.

Soz if this is blatantly obvious

I think it's control-shift to select a single face, assuming that's what you want to do.

I meant control-shift-click...oops...

You mean you want to select only a certain part of a face?

You could use the clipper to 'cut out' the spot you want yellow, as in, make it a new piece of floor, instead of one big platform.

yh, i just didnt want to use any terms, because im new to mapping and dont know what the terms mean lol. And i know you meant ctrl shift click, its still does nothing, it just makes a box which doesnt do anything.

shadow> i thought you could only use the clipper to cut things up not select... And anyway doesnt it only work up to three points.

Sorry about being so cryptic, but i dont know alot about GTK.

Please help me :D

Cut up your floor brush using the clipper tool, and use ctrl+shift+LMB to select a face on your newly created brush.

Please do not use this forum as a place to get basic mapping tutorials. There are tons of those already present.
