So for the past I've been using screen recorders, but they go in very low quality. I was wondering if there are any programs to convert .dm_69 files?
Please take note: I'm on a mac.
Thanks!

you can try /video that will create an avi
-
Unless you want your viewers watching raw binary net data, no. .dm_69 files are simply packet dumps, AFAIK. You can try starting Trem like so:
tremulous +demo XXX +video XXX_video
which will start recording the AVI immediately. Of course you're left with a huge avi to edit.

Please post in the correct section, geez.

thats the problem... /movie brings FPS to a slow crawl- hardly fast enough or good quality to post on youtube.
-
I thought you were banned!
Anyway...
It does make the FPS drag, but the video should play at normal speed. The only thing being slowed down is the renderer.
-
set cl_aviFrameRate to something nice, and you're sorted.
-
Next to make a remark along the lines of "I thought you were banned" will recieve a ban him- or herself.

Might I recommend Video Enhancer 1.9.2? What it does is enhances video playback to a higher resolution, in some circles it works but in others there won't be much of a big difference, but I say try it out at least. I'm not sure if this will even do much because YouTube might turn your video intro crap anyways, but check it out, here is a link to the trail version:

Other obvious tips are record in the highest resolution possible for your PC, but that will impact performance of your renderer while recording. That is all I could think of, cheers.

/set timescale 0.1
Before issuing the /video command. This makes trem run (and play back the demo) at 10% normal speed, and should give your system enough time to encode the video without dropping frames.

"Raw Binary Net Data"? That sounds good ;-) how would I do that?

Hex editor

Hex editor
say what?
-
An editor that represents binary files as a series of hexadecimal values.
Example (http://www.haosredro.com/trem/img/tremhex0r.png)
-
Example
Wahh, all those texts and colors...hurts my eyes....
Isn't it uber difficult to use a hex editor? Or is it easier then it looks?
-
It's easier than it looks, but it's really boring.
Unless you can read hex, don't use a hex editor (should go without saying).
-
Not to mention the demo stuff is bit-packed and huffman encoded
