Title: Some panoramas
Post by: Chess guy on November 02, 2008, 06:15:58 pm
I just took a few panoramic images from a few games.

Mostly these two just show off the map, but this is another one that worked out quite nicely:

did you use that sparkly mod when you took these?

Nope. I used Microsoft's ICE to compile multiple screenshots.

Why haven't you done the full 360 degrees of the ATCS one?

Looking nice btw.

EDIT: Also, did this require everything to stay still during capture or was it quick enough for this not to matter?

RE-EDIT: It moves!

Ohh that animated 360 is pretty good idea.
I have 2d turned off, I get into position and rotate with my arrow keys. So it's as fast as screenshot, right arrow, screenshot, repeat
So each shot may not be exactly happening at the same time, but as long as each part of it has something unique happening, then it looks cool.

You can hack the cgame to allow you to view the full 360 degrees while playing

Now THAT I've got to try out! Not for any sort of advantage, just for the pure mindbending-hell of it.

And if you want my animation to go slower, be my guest and add the between frames to keep it as smooth ;) (that's another 32 frames of cutting and pasting the same image at incremental positions)

Actually I think the game won't let you go past 180 degrees.

Or you could use a gif animator and simply increase the time the single frames are displayed.

Also: Your disclaimer made me laugh.. thanks for that.
