Tremulous was my favorite game until it stopped working. When I open it, it looks like its going to work just fine but it never get to the menu, it just stays a black screen and I have to press ctr-alt-delete. THEN a window pops up that says (tremulou has stopped working). Ugghh
What can I do to fix it?

Have you been changing any settings recently?
-
Run tremulous in a console (DOS prompt in windows?) and post the output here.
-
I have the very same problem.
I tried in the DOS thing and it doesn't work either.

Check your data-1.1.0.pk3.

No, don't :P well you can, but there's no reason to expect either of those files to exist if this is the first time you've run tremulous. If it isn't then you can wonder about a permissions issue, but I doubt that's the problem.
default.cfg is in data-1.1.0.pk3 and that's being executed fine. We need the whole log though, including whatever it was about client and initialising (I can guess, but I'm surprised if that's the last line). You could also try starting with +set developer 1 or +set fs_debug 1 (or both) to get more messages about how things are going printed.

you might have messed with your graphic settings or some other settitng you can reset everything back to default by deleting your autogen or renaming it. Renaming it is better becasue you will always have it but tremulous will not do anything with it and if you want to start using it again you can always just rerename it to autogen.
if you are using windows xp without GUID go to c:\program files\tremulous\base and look for the autogen there
if you are using the tjw client go to C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Tremulous\base
if you are using the mercenary guild client go to C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Application Data\Tremulous\base

Have you tried reinstalling it?
-
Wow. Way to give dud advice.
cactusfrog: read his post, he has no autogen or autoexec.
Dragoxz: that never solves anything, ever.
-
OS, 32-bit or 64-bit, what client are you using and what drivers do you have installed?
-
usually an autogen rename/deletion solves the problem :s
-
And pasting the complete error-message helps wonders, too.
