I have registered for the wiki but can't edit yet, so I've decided to post this on the forums. If this thread shouldn't be here anyways, just let it die.
I found this in the beginners guide: "...chmoding Tremulous or playing as root will make it easier for you to save changes in autogen.cfg..."
Playing Tremulous as root! :o I seriously hope this does not mean what I think it means. If you use linux, you should know that you should never play games as root, especially online games that autodownload stuff. Furthermore,
the rest of that statement is confusing as well. Chmodding Tremulous will likely not make it easier to save changes as the file is in the home directory and should be writable anyways. If not, there is no need for root as the player's regular account should be owner of that file and can chmod it his/her self!
Could someone please change this?
PS: The wiki never mentioned a period where I wouldn't be able to edit. Am I missing something?

Fixed.
The edit link is very bottom left, easy to miss.
That bit was added by 220.238.169.23, can someone trace that so we know who to slap?

Yeah sorry about the non-editing abilities on tremwiki.com. I'll fix it as soon as I get some time. (though motivation to do it is low since I expect it to die and merge with the official wiki asap)
