not to get off topic, but ^.Pk has been around for a long time now to. many great players have played in our clan, and many great players remain. :) but i know the clans mentioned above have been around for a long time.

It isn't about numbers, clans come in all sizes.  Some like to compete some don't.  It's all a choice.  I think this thread was started to try and goad flaming, which it has started to.

People do still clan for real, and the clan scene is more active in scrimming than it has been in a long while, although the same clans generally scrim eachother a lot.

Still, the clan scene's just about the only place to find anything at all around Tremulous, North America at least. There are literally NO true public servers anymore running non-modded shit, and the only servers where you can have a good pub game are usually ruled over by members of certain clans.

Those are *the* only unmodded servers you will find games on. Therefore, other servers with population, are modded (RE: The D*S and X/A/M/C Epidemic)

You guys forgot Dretch*Tsunami is another unmodded server. Same with PureTremulous, though not many still play on those servers.

Tsunami and PureTrem were pretty good when people played on them, but I'd want to go even further back, to the days of BeerGarden and Boom Boom (Fragify during its really good days).

puretrem != mgdev. puretrem =~ my server, the settings are extremely similar, except for sd/tl/bp.

If we are going that far back, I'd like to say that Random-Seed.net was one of the best trem servers (I think it had 1.1.0 gameplay, of course this was before unlagged, dretch punt, and telling the what team the speaker was on)

Puretrem has no hitbox modifications.  The whole point of puretrem was to run as unmodified as possible (hence the name).  Unlike most servers, it does not have share which is arguably one of the larger modifications.

Me, I miss AKKA though I don't miss finding it full and realizing that there are no other populated servers :)
