Sir,

I am pleased to get across to you for a very urgent and profitable
business proposal, though I don't know you neither have I seen you before
but my confidence was reposed On you when the Chief Executive of Lagos
State chamber of Commerce and Industry handed me your contact for a
confidential business.

I am the manager of United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA),Alaba Int'l branch,
Lagos Nigeria. The intended business is thus; We had a customer, a
Foreigner resident in Nigeria, he was a Contractor with one of the
Government Parastatals. He has in his Account in my branch the sum of
US$12.5 Million (Twelve million, five hundred thousand U.S
Dollars).Unfortunately, the man died four years ago until today non-of his
next of kin has come forward to claim the money.

Having noticed this, I in collaboration with one other top Official of the
bank covered up the account all this while. Now we want you (being a
foreigner) to be fronted as one of his next of kin of the deceased and
forward all the necessary information to be advised to you by us to attest
to the Claim.

We will use our positions to get all internal documentation to back up the
claims. The whole procedures will last only ten working days to get the
fund retrieved successfully without trace even in future. Your response is
only what we are waiting for as we have put all machineries that will be
instrumental to the success of the transaction in motion.

As soon as this message comes to you kindly get back to me indicating your
interest, then I will furnish you with the whole procedures to ensure that
the deal is successfully Concluded. For your assistance, we have agreed in
principle to offer you 30% of the total sum at the end of the transaction.

It is risk free and a big mega fortune. All correspondences towards this
transaction will be through telephone and e-mail. I await your earliest
response.

Thanks,

Yours Sincerely,

MR. AHMED SALEH

This was just a little test(server wasnt fast enough to count fully speed of my connection)

edit: upload/download speed counted in kilobytes and distance is counted in kilometers

You claim 1000mbits
Yet you achieve 4mB/s

Looks like some shoddy home connection, but that was to be expected.

Distance: 1000km
"and distance is counted in kilometers"

Wow, did you work that out yourself?

no i set it to count in Kilobytes not kilobits
1024megabits = 100kilobytes
1024kilobytes = 1megabyte

anyway i told you server i was measuring speed with wasnt fast enough to determinate maximum speed it says i got 39megabits(or 3,9megabytes) upload speed and 22megabits(or 2,2megabytes) of download speed....

anyway it has no laggs!always stable! only for 10$ i need quick money till end of week, anyone interested?

(pays by paypal)

Last I checked a byte was 8 bits, so 1024megabits = 128magabytes.  100 kilobytes would be just 800 kilobits.

its 40Mbits or 4mBytes, for your info thats very very fast! and none of servers with speedtest can show you result 1000mbits! even if you'd had 2000mbits it couldnt show that because other server cant count it!

  • 40 megabits == 5 megabytes.  Neither of those equal 1000 megabits (which is 125 megabytes) and neither are "very fast" but quite average
  • Yes, you could show 1000 megabits or 2000 megabits, I do it all the time

But instead of worthless speech about speed, connectivity is what's really important.  Especially for a Tremulous server, you don't need gigabits.  You need low latency and a good location; so don't quote useless speed tests or values, but instead say what kind of connection it is, and through whom.  Knowing the datacenter location is useful as well, since certain providers may have better backbone links than others in various locations.

Well, you've posted a commercial-type offer on a free site, so you're getting free advertising.  None of the moderators or administrators have thus far said, "Meh, spam" and pulled the thread, so you're doing okay by that - but on the same token, I for one am not going to clean up the crap that may appear in here because of it.  If you want the "spam" cut down in your thread, start by removing the first post :>

Of course if it degrades into a complete crapfest then all bets are off and the whole mess goes in the trash, but that's been my personal policy for quite some time (unless there's some gems worth saving, therefore worth the trouble of splitting/merging and trashing).
