as i found out the other day, some of the best games arnt about kills


i got about 29, but humans hit s3 on arachnid 2 , when we were only just reaching s2


they had some really good players, and about 4 of them got 80 somthing kills, followed by the rest having about 30 each


but we had some really good builders who constantly kept the om moving and eggs rebuilt, and we hit s3 and managed a draw

Is that really the record.. because i've seen that beat a few times already...
If i'm not wrong stasis just yesterday got pretty close to that and maybe passed it.. though i can't remember his exact score..
I just never was able to get the screen shot.. mostly because I end up using copy and paste before i remember i had one in there.. *Sigh*

Except, a moment later I found I'd somehow joined the aliens side (this isn't the first time I'd done this). I rejoined my human buddies just in time to kill a few aliens and catch the time hitting the limit.

So technically my 'best kills score for humans' was 3 =(

But when it comes down to it, the amount of kills you get is heavily dependant on how long the game lasts as well as your murderful skill. Even the kill/minute ratio is strongly influenced by your opponents' skill.

B-b-b-but I guess this is another of those 'LOOK! A HUUUUUGE NUMBER!!' kind of things.

It all depends who you get the most kills against. I can join a noob server and break the record right now, but whats the fun in that.
I'm not that great so it feels good killing great players.

What gets me from getting highest kills in games is the fact that I go for base the second aliens go s2 often allowing game wins. Since structure kills don't count, I end up with 3rd-ish place and a nice "GJ phreak".

I do have a screene showing 102 kills as hummie against good players.
Alien high is about 74 against good players and 112 with not so good ones.

Post big score of you as alien, because aliens take skill. Humans don't. (Unless spamming lucifer is the only thing you can do, in this case you are hopeless)

Actually, humans do take skill. just a little LESS than aliens. but hummies take HUGE skill when your fighting SKILLED ALIENS :eek:

Hmmm...most for Humans for me was bout...60, mostly using Rifle/Pulse Rifle. That game went on for aaaages though

Aliens...about 37 but thats unfair because it wasn't a 'proper' game. Twas a 3vs1 game on tremor (me being the one) and I was camping in the base killing anyone who came in. Good fun though =P

Humans don't actually take any more skill, it's just we all already have that skill from other FPS games, and more importantly, being humans.

If a tremulous alien played the game they would have just as much trouble playing humans as we have playing aliens (not to mention the aliens perspective in the game is already warped to fit our mindset.)

142 aliens, 250-something humans.  
But does it really matter?  Teamwork always comes first and foremost.

80 alien and 183 human. The alien one I lead, mostly used dretch and broke out the tyrant later and actually didn't suck at tyrant for once. Can't say the humans were all that spectacular though.
The human one I'm more proud of. Most of it was Bsuit+Chaingun and the aliens were actually pretty good and getting big scores too. It wasn't mainly dretches either. I killed a good deal of marauders/goons/tyrants as well. Some {SGA} guy who I can't remember the name of right now got 283 :/.. So I wasn't the highest on the server even.. fun game though.

Don't have a screen.. so you all can take it worth a grain of salt if you want.. i plan on doing better later on anyway .

Yes high kills doesn't mean your master of strategy or helped your team.. but it does mean you know how to kill stuff!
