Just as he was pondering how he might be able to escape from this vast hole, his flashlight suddenly went dead.

"Thats odd, I just put new batteries in this damn thing."

He tried flicking the switch a few times, but to no avail. He decided it would be best to just get out of this hole as fast as possible. Just as he started his attempt to climb out, the ground beneath him started shaking with such a force that he felt he must be witnessing an earthquake, but that couldn't be. Earthquakes were very uncommon in these parts of the world. The ground violently shook and shook until the earth beneath him caved in and he fell even deeper through the sinkhole. He had fallen into an underground tunnel. Relieved to see torches lighting the way, he decided to follow the tunnel hoping it might have an exit.

After what seemed like only minutes, he emerged out of the end of the tunnel into a darkly lit circular room with golden thrones all around facing him. The thrones were not empty. In the middle of the room, perched upon the largest throne, a dark figure stood up and with a powerful, booming voice, he heard:

"I am Jeffrey, God of biscuits! You have stumbled upon our ancient throne room and, because your engravings seemed adequate for a place in our ranks, we have decided to give you a chance to be a part of what is known as 'Pk'. We cannot let you leave now that you know of this place, so you may choose to join us in our quest to frag all that oppose us, or you may choose to face certain death."

Feeling he was too young to die already, he promptly accepted the proposal to join this mysterious club.

"Very good." said the God of biscuits, "From now on, you will no longer be known as 'Whales', but rather by your new name 'Whales.^Pk'. You may take a seat on one of the empty thrones and begin your new journey among us."
