This is relevant to my interests. I've been toying with the Ram and Queen models. Made a full list of animation for the Ram. They are pretty amateur seeing as they mark the very beginning of my animation experience, but I believe they are suitable for an opensource game. I'll make a video out of them later.

for afraid the little humans!!!

IMO looks very low detail. But I think that may be because of the textures used.

Most of them are open space maps. I think aliens won't do very good.

You could be putting out really sweet models but the devs won't implement them in even if you textured then animated them...
