You should actually model the stock, but have the stock removed(like you have it now) for the viewmodel(you can also remove the entire back face of the model as well for the viewmodel to free up additional verts).

Select all the vertices on the barrel and set them smooth.
Then it will look much better :)

Yea I could do that. But you want to add an edge split first.   Then thats were sexy comes in.  After edge split then set smooth.

Edge split?
Why would you need to do that?
Setting smooth just changes how the faces are drawn visually.

Well if you take a model and set it smooth it would look somewhat of ugly.    Thats why you would add a edge split to make that smooth look better.  Try it.

That way, it doesn't smooth the edges around the rim of the cylinder, so it doesn't round off at the end of the barrel too. We don't want that to happen.

ok, can you give me the tool thingy app that can code?

You mean you add some edge loops ?
Sorry edge split doesn't ring a bell, I must have forgotten the correct term :(

It didn't look like much from the front (needs a bit more detail around the barrel), but the HUD view (the last pic) is pretty sweet. Add some more detail and this would probably look great in-game (with decent textures, obviously).

From a character I deleted except the arm.

I can model a hand any-day but I cant texture to save my life.  Thats why im practicing now with this rifle and my marine character to texture.

instead of taking out the bullet by maving it to the side, make it seem like hes hitting it agaisnt something invisible as if it was a mallet. Thats just so the bullet comes out.

3 hours to animate?
Did you animate the reload three times?
If so you can just duplicate the same animation and have it seamlessly repeat with a couple minutes of work.

Yea man I just duplicate the hole animation. It actually takes 1 sec to accomplish.  It took me 3 hours to animate the reload.  I had to learn how to use the curve editor for the first time and I kept redoing steps too make the reload better.

I understand on how new things are learning experiences and projects.
The curve editor makes everything look real as you've figured out :)
Helps get the timing right.
You've came a long way to when I first saw your work.

the previous one would be a nice shotty.

most of these weapons seems to be a little bit short btw, compared to the recent stuff, where the MD is seemingly something like 1,3 m long.

Thats a very smooth and fluid and realistic looking reload, I like it. However, the clip is a very strange shape - I can't imagine what pattern the bullets would be packed in inside that kind of crushed sphere.
