Noobcannon final!

So This is a map made by NN|Shadowlord aka Silence as a joke. Originally we were talking about cannon maps and i said " you might as well make a box map that says noob all over with a cannon, and slap it on a server known for pollacks!" i woke up the next day only to test his latest map, Noobcannnon! then we uploaded it to wonderland to prove our theory that people ectually liked it!

So without Further Ado:

d before GMOTW complains, it doesnt screw up your tremulous, he has a default tremulous client and the map was running on a server with a tremfusion backport.

oh and no screensots, that map is so small and self-explanatory it doesnt require any!

Danish was the one complaining (a TJW backport user like myself), later I, too, had the problem (on several maps) and realized that deleting the previous version of NoobCannon removed the problem. I believe that it's not exceptional to use the original client.

Sorry for trying to help those who experienced the problem, too.

If you are using anything that old, problems are your fault. Although in this case whatever it is sounds like a map not client issue.

What a useless statement. I don't have problems. Only with this map. You agree that it's probably the map. But you say that it's my problem if I use such an old client.

Moose, what percentage of Tremulous players uses the original (or such old) client, is there any statistic (or what do you guess)?

I'm just saying, you were the one who referenced TJW, I don't know the specifics of the problem you were talking about, so I said my thoughts on TJW (2006/2007) and your problem.

Probably ?20-35? percent I have no idea. To be honest the majority of 1.1 players are probably AA style pollacks who don't even have any client update over the old one STILL on the main page, because they don't know any better.

Maybe the problem is gone with this release. In a previous release, the presence of the NoobCannon map file in my and Danish's base folder apparently caused glass shaders on apparently all maps to fail (missing texture instead). Deleting the map solved the problem for the both of us. I had a look at the .pk3 and don't know what might cause it. There was at least one ".jpeg" ending, maybe that's already it, but I don't know.

what? seriosul you two are the only ones that suffer with issues with that, i have not had one problem from the hundreds of other people who have played it.

Confirmed, this map breaks other maps (I guess all the ones with shaders alphabetically after 'noob')(breaks in TJW, but not TF client), reason:

the purpose of this map was to look like crap, and prove that people will still enjoy it and love it.. this is purely a joke

Yup. Personally I hate the map, regret making it, etc. etc. It was never meant to be released, it was meant as a joke (Which people don't understand)

Also uniqPheoniX, if you know how to make a shader, please contact me, I would love to learn. That shader is just patchwork.

I actually never wanted this released.  :-\ I would like to apologize for this map.

Since you opened a new thread for it and released it, you are no different than other cannon map authors. It is not even remotely funny.
Frankly I don't think it fucking matters what you think. Now it would mean a shit load more if the actual lava_croft came and said that, though I have a feeling he would say in a much more threatening tone.
