Sounds I redid for everyone to hear (song added Dec/15/10)
« on: October 01, 2010, 07:01:00 pm »
I am a music artist and up and coming audio engineer. I saw that a lot of sounds were not licensed correctly, so I decided to redo a couple to show you what I can do. I did the player/level 0,1,2, 4 and some misc soundsmain menu. all sounds and the song are compressed into the link. Its only 5mb it shouldn't take long.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/12/24/2236619/Sounds.zip

they should all be in 44100 mono 16bit just liked they asked :P

my remake of heartbeat.wav and tremambient is also in there.

I really like the sounds for playerlevel0 and playerlevel1.

These sounds have so much more presence and make the aliens feel more threatening-- I just really can't explain how much better these are than the originals.

The taunts need a little bit of work though; some variation to differentiate them from the pain noises.

don't worry sir, I fixed that before uploaded them to the wiki.

Hound the developers/talk to the developers to get the sounds in unless they already know of the sounds you've created.

I have already let some know. I hounded Timbo about it the most.

Awesome alien sounds! Great work, I hope to hear them in game, although I hope the other sounds won't suffer from the awesomeness of these!

I don't like the use/sound of the ride in any of the songs so far though, it sounds a little off.

Nevertheless, I hope we hear more sound effects made by you. Nice!

I tried these sounds in trem 1.1 (upgraded client) and I only heard buzzes, I think it's something to do with the fact that they are 24bit, not 16bit sounds. Can the 1.2 client handle this resolution sound?

Have you tried these sounds out in the game yet to see if they suit?

I have tried a couple awhile ago and they sounded alright. If that is the case I can change all these to 16 bit, it wouldn't be a problem. People have been telling me they are still 16 bit and someone else told be the new version can handle 32 bit. So idk =-/

I just uploaded more sounds and converted the old ones I posted to 16 bit. You should try them out now.

Cool, don't lose the 24 bit sounds, just that they won't be backward compatible. I've been developing under trem 1.1 since that's pretty much all that Australian servers run, at least till 1.2 is out officially
