Sounds pretty good overall, but I am a bit concerned over

- Insulting the establishment (devs/forum / server admins) is usually a trolling attempt,  I'll treat those as such.

I would appreciate it if you would be a bit more specific, else I could see feedback/criticism ending up getting people banned, which is the opposite of what this community needs.

Also, although  this just got mentioned I thought of it when I first read your post so I figured I would add it again. It would be a lot easier (and you could be a lot more discriminant) if there were a few more members dedicated to keeping these forums clean. Just a thought.

My banhammer is usually light as a feather, for example, the last person to get a ban from me
was Bunker Gate Seven, and he got a 5-day no-posting ban. I don't think that's particulary harsh.

As for rules, they're already there:

Quote from: Forum Rules
3.) Healthy debates in topics are allowed. Flaming to the point of insult-trading is NOT okay.
4.) No spamming or advertising (includes useless multi-posts and bumps.)
6.) Criticism must be constructive.
6b.) Do NOT harass other members.
  6c.) Do NOT troll!

It is mostly about the Flaming to the point of insult-trading is NOT okay.,
because that's what a lot of threads have degraded to.

Until now all this means I just delete more posts than I used to and I do have the feeling it had an effect:
the board has been a bit calmer the past few days.

And yes, more moderators would be nice, I was asked to become moderator some time ago
when there was a clear lack of active moderators, and we're a bit in a similar situation now.
There's talk behind the screens about appointing new mods, but I'm not involved in it.

Good job ingar! :D

Here is one mod attempting to keep a forum at a readable standard nowadays.... don't you miss when forums were used for social purposes and not for the self-esteem of children?

Meh. No more countertrolling for me now. :-[

But I do hope this ain't no temporary! This is the way moderating the forums should be, especially, when these forums are like cesspool of idiocy and hatred (or this is what my thoughts are bit about current forum.)

Hope he stays away, or least trolls other forums. But this kind of snapping is fine to keep disciple on forums, in my opinion. But not too harsh to tear world around of kid or other immature person. (And yes, there is ALWAYS exceptions.)

I am too, concerned about the amount of (very) active forum moderators. Just to give discussion; Should we give some trusted members, who would volunteer to keep forums fresh and clean?
Just to stir some discussion, okay?

Yes.

Question answered. We can all go home now.

Unless you want to answer who you think would be trustworthy...

Not me! ;D Not enough forum experience for that, to be honest. Nor I don't got interest in being moderator, people tend to hate me time to time :p.
Just to stir some discussion, okay?
