When i feel little anxious, worried or troubled, i'm used to press that option and voilĂ  - it makes me feel better! For example, in situation when i was abandoned to fight by myself agains three of the enemy team (nuwanda included). Or situation when i prefer to start the new match rather then to continue so i vote to know if it is possible. Why i've been kicked and muted without any votes by certain admins (nuwanda included), especially after they got a kick out of killing me several times within a few seconds? Am i some sort of a criminal? Why as far as i got along with this feature i became moron and retard? Why can't they leave me alone? Or, maybe, as far as i'm not american and i don't speak American English i deserve no confidence within the usage of certain vote options? Damn your eyes, Nicolas Chauvin, chauvinism discoverer! Does american language and culture worth learning at all? And is there somebody to correct all my written mistakes

There might be a legitimate complaint in here but you're too vague for me to find out. Please provide:

• date and time of the game, if possible
• the name you played under
• the names of the people who kicked or muted you

Then we'll be able to go and review the logs of that game and decide if your complaint is valid.

Thank you for your interest in my sorrow.
I would like to point out that i don't feel like surrendering anyone or making you parsing huge number of logs. I only want to figure out why is there an option in the game, than makes admins rude with me ? I used to play as 'inka', then after different affronts i changed it to 'nonstarter' (retard ,etc. sounds too awry even for a foreigner)... and now i'm thinking about 'convicted_of_belonging_to_a_cultural_minority', but as for me it's too long and i haven't found any proper analog in my dictionary yet. I don't search some "validness" and i'm not complaining. The bottom line is i want to understand why is there so match terror about my attachment to 'admit defeat' game vote feature? Why they kick me after they destroyed my base and made minced meat from my in-game personage? I don't want somebody to educate them for a proper behaviour, i want them to read and answer my questions even if it'll take a couple of years to them to become educated and generous enough to understand it(obviously, i'm not a big success in writing in english).

+1. This ends games even more so than sudden death votes, and yet it has no vote percentage limit and uses teamvotes, which many players don't know how to use (well, some newbies). Also, it is on the VERY bottom left corner of the screen (almost). That makes it hard to see.

Shame on me, i'm not familiar enough with your culture. I'd just read the forum rules and was trying my best to comply fully and in good faith with the obligations placed upon me by them. I'm not a barbarian as because in spite of my numerous language issues. I'd read "Main Rules

Triple post! I'm impressed. You are obviously a prime specimen of tremulous player and I think you should be given a badge for your calm appraisal of the situation. Far from writing things unintelligibly, you write with a firm grasp of the English language and always write a large amount to answer the questions of others. Your desire for knowledge is understandable and so I will tell you that the reason this vote exists in the game is because on some servers admins don't hate everyone (don't ask me which). Once you give somebody power it almost always goes to their head. Their feeling of supremacy is inherent in their actions and this is why topics about abuse are extremely common. On most servers there is no real screening process for admins so many people end up with commands that they don't deserve and use for spiteful ends. There is also general unfairness in kick votes for when there are extremely few people online it's far easier for you to get kicked if they're friends. I feel sorrow for your plight and can only hope that you are satisfied (unlikely) by the answers you get.

dobruiyyk: I highly recommend you stop playing just to win and start playing to have fun even if you lose, or you'll just be more frustrated while you are supposed to have fun playing a game.
It really sucks if your team is winning and the other team gives up before you can have the fun of destroying their base and hunting them down. Also in Tremulous it is sometimes possible to recover from situations that (at least to most players) seem hopeless, but if you always surrender, you'll never learn how to.
As for myself, I never vote yes on admit defeat votes, unless it's no longer possible to play (for example when all spawns are completely camped and it really is impossible to escape (not when it just seems so)).

Everyone else: it would help if you stopped spamming smilies, pictures, 'fixed' posts etc and stay on topic a bit more. I agree that admit defeat percentage should be about 75% tho.

At last I found suitable solution : my filthy in-game habits made someone to call me a fuckhead so I decided to change my nick to it. It made everybody feel comfortable - such nick-name made them sorry for me, not angry)), unless I abused one guy who has certain admin rights with my in-game fair advantages over him (hell yeah, my team kick the asses of his teammates several times during the day - there wasn't even a little precondition to call admit defeat vote))). So he suddenly decided that my nick abuses the rules of the US1 and baned me (right after I killed him several times, then changed my nickname back, then killed him again, then my team won, then changed my nickname back again or so). If there is such a rule, that yells "pal, don't use such bad words in your nickname", than why I was playing peacefully all day long with lots of admins, that had been used to mute and kick me for some of my votes when I'd got not as dummy nick as I want to use now? At least there even no genital organs in my nickname (as far as in a name) and I'm not proposing to taste it (I saw few such circumstances, and some of those men were only vote-muted but not baned). I should like to stress, that I tryed to read rules of official servers here in the forum's topic, but I haven't perceived whether I'm free to choose such a nick-name(fuckhead) or not.

PS. It doesn't matter, kid, if somewere there is a rule that excuses your politics - I beated you, and I'll beat you again after my 5 minute ban (a fortiori it's ended several hours ago - I haven't developed my writing capabilities yet)). Oh, and you are a moderate-quality builder!

As far as all the time I was abused for succeed in this vote IN spite of the fact that more then half of my team seconded my efforts, I beg to differ about this "spamming" and so. You know, the temperature in my room raised by several degrees after I read this kind words (it was pretty cold so my limbs suffered a bit) . Laugh is a very good emotion, it makes fine people around you cheerful so they laugh too, it's prolonging your lifes and, you know, you worth it! Several US1 server admins, or how they call a player who has certain abilities to force another players to have an undesirable nick-name or even forcing rest to leave without a justified reason (yeah, I'm talking about bans, kicks and so), have read my question about Server Official Rules - neither tried to explain me any one of them. It is bad when there is nobody assuming control of some social processes at all, but it is much worse when really inappropriate men assuming authority : absence of appropriate control retards development processes, but obscure control is used to begin degradation... Even Roman Empire couldn't survive such kind of things happening!

I do think that game Tremulous is really amazing thing, but I can't help mentioning that its fame and popularity are artificially decreased with admin situation on official servers. I wish some more pre-conditions of total popularity of this game will arise besides the situation with games for the Linux platform.

According to me, according to the situation within the server admins (especially with their honesty and validity) and to human psychology, nickname "fuckhead" is worldly and bold decision. I do think so, for example as far as such a nickname made extremely annoyed ONLY those admins who were used to called me so, who were USED TO read all my questions and stuff in THIS topic, BUT payed no attention to their human attitude and behaviour UNTIL it became to obvious IT makes THEM look like total fucks!
