screen resolution is to low to see start game

my main gaming pc is out for the week I was trying to load up trem on my spare family pc but when the game loads its so blow up I only can see about a quarter of the screen and cant get to the options to change the resolution

I tried this fix I saw in another thread setting the with to 1400 and height to 900 and now Im at a black screen on startup
/r_height {insert_value_here}
/r_width {insert_value_here}

and then doing

/vid_restart

will work.

Which client are you using?  Older ones need /r_mode 6 instead.

I downloaded the new one from the website the 1.1 and the gpp where would tremulous save the settings I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I still get a the black screen instead of what I got originally

-1 makes it use the customWidth and customHeight values.
6 makes it be 1024x768.

Is there a value for r_mode that has it be 1440x900? If not, I'm keeping r_mode -1 :p

Why not use r_width and r_height to set the resolution to whatever you like?
