Sorry to say, but I am here to withdraw AoTG from the tournament. I have not been in contact with my teammates, which makes me worried. I don't want you guys to expect us to be in the competition, so I might as well play it safe and withdraw AoTG. Until I get in contact with my teammates, we will not be able to compete.  :(

As of now, if any teams need a decent player for a sub, I am open. Sorry about this Kharnov.

I thought this would have been obvious, but I will reiterate:
Each person may only be in ONE clan.
I will add this to the rules because people don't seem to have any common sense.

Just to clarify, AoTG isn't competing. Comet was saying that he would gladly sub for clans who are under the minimum because he isn't in a clan that is competing.

How do you go inactive in summer? Isn't summer when you have time to play trem?

Our school gives students a tablet pc, and that's how I play Tremulous (same as my brother, Dark/Supra/Tweety/etc). At the end of the year, they collect them, reformat over the summer, rinse and repeat.

I only have 1 computer that's nearly always occupied, and not sufficient enough to play Tremulous (512mb ram, stock graphics card, 30 fps on atcshd MAXED, + shit wireless mouse).

I have better things to do in the summer anyways, I'd only play Trem if it was important, like this.

Where's server hosted? ^^
Here are my opinions: Russian hosting - worst in the world
China - epic fail
American - unlagged will make european players too good with 100+ pings
European - unlagged will make american players too good with 100+ pings
Australia - Unable for almost all players playing Tremulous

So where is this server hosted?

America, no solution to those problems that isn't pathetic in its predictability so you just pick something and deal with it.

Could be wrong, but I think you're still in 1.1. If you haven't played a good deal of GPP then you have no idea of how tolerable it now is for those who would bitch about its visual side effects.

I played there for 4 weeks undercover. That's why I still play 1.1.

Does anybody feel like resurrecting Xenocide?
Also, it would be very nice if somebody could get hold of >< and ask them to come back at least for the tournament.
lol. Considering our website doesn't exist anymore, it's not very easy to contact our non-clan. I don't even have Trem downloaded on my new comp. I am waiting for 1.2 (ha).

That's F'king bullshit! I play on american servers almost every time i go on! I also play lagged servers, and it's fucking hard to pounce one bsuit blaster down in 5 seconds if he's moving backwards! (i have to go behind him, and swipe him from behind, otherwise, i'd just be walking into his boundry box, preventing me from walking faster, and on the server, my swipe is no way close to the bsuit) So... Why not aussie-unlagged? no one complains, except the iceland-greenlands (500+ping). I've played a greenland unlagged on 1.1, it was hard, but i still got an okay score.

And so we begin!

Now that the registrations have been locked, the first matches and their schedule will be posted shortly.

To the participating teams, good luck!

Of course, GT is going to win, as usual.

Week 1 matches are up. All times are in GMT. Any match can be moved up to an earlier time that is convenient for both teams. Just find a referee and start the match. Also, we request each team have one member in the tournament channel so each team can be contacted easily. ##gpptourney at freenode.

Nice. GT vs NoS. This is a match I've wanted to see for a while now, considering how similar our structure and early histories are.

We have me, F50 and Kynes confirmed for the match against NoS. Medi won't be able to make it due to driver ed. I'll ask some more GT members. Might do it earlier on Saturday, even.

Edit: we have Medi.

except NoS > GT
Yukihiro Matsumoto in the face of the default Ruby interpreter pretty much agrees.
Code: [Select]
$ irb
irb(main):001:0> "NoS" == "GT"
=> false
irb(main):002:0> "NoS" < "GT"
=> false
irb(main):003:0> "NoS" > "GT"
=> true
irb(main):004:0> whoa whoa whoa man how do you know
(And oh well, Python does too. Ask any recent interpreter. I can be asked too if anything.)
