Trouble updating client in ubuntu linux

How do I update my client I downloaded the file tremulous.x86 from
http://blogwtf.com/backport  but when I replaced the tremulous file in /usr/lib/tremulous I was unable to start tremulous.

file ui/menddef.h not found
you've hit a Quake 3 bug, one that is also present in older Tremulous revisions (do a web search for menddef.h). basically, you'll need to use a different binary.
