then it really did not matter if he made another base cause you all where leaving anyways.

personally, I was fine with him going off making his own base until he started shooting at the aliens in the stack, thats when the kick vote started.

ok well that part was left out if he was shooting you guys trying to kill you then yea vote boot him. but if he was just going making a base i dont see a prob with that cause he might of just been learning how to make a better mouse trap (human base) and by booting him you just stoped him from learning. man i really need to play this game but every friday im busy.

Back to the topic...

finished up the dragoon model and rig, so now Im animating.  Here's a shot of it in some odd pose....



and heres a shot of it running... kinda.... might need a little more work.

Excellent work as usual 'Flow. I'm a bit curious, could you make a render of the Dragoon side-by-side with the Mofo? I'd like to see how they compare size wise.

tbh, I haven't really scaled it at all so I dont know.  But, Im thinking it'll be about the same length and width, and about half the height... will discuss with the others though ;)

You've got some concave hulls on the upper leg parts. You dhould flip the edges.

those were actually somewaht intentional :P  perhaps you're right... I also see another place where some flipping should be done...

The eye detail can be done with the skin, might want to cut the eyes out.

hm, over a month without an update?  Its been slow for a while...  but I think I'm starting to work a bit more.  The current flame thrower doesn't work very well with the hud setup and doesnt really look that great anyways.  So I made a new one for jex to have fun with.

though it does look a little block-like, not sure that im liking it (yet)

actually have Q3 now, so i may be joining the tremulous scene whenever the public beta comes around.

plus i already grabbed gtkradiant and am attempting to figure out the interface. so far...not so good lol. havent had to learn a new editor since WC oh so long ago.

gtk has an interface alot like qe radiant (click and drag). shouldnt take you to long, and hope to see some new maps.

theres a large weakly build there (in the paragraph) that should help you, then you can connect to the server (acheron.r1gameservers.com:27960) and get the rest of the files.

but about the radiant thing, i never used qeradiant so its an entirely new interface to me. im just learning the camera and keyboard shortcuts so far. im not really fond of the switching between xyz thing, since ive been used to having 3 seperate grids with each axis in the past. just have to get acclimated to it i suppose.

i believe there is a way to change the lay out so you can have three windows.. *checks*

press p for preferences, goto layout (under interfeace) then click on the interface you want... i havnt tried any of them so i dont know what will work best for you.

Oh Saig... what version do you have?
if you're mapping for Q3, can I heartedly recommend 1.2.13.  its considerably more painless than any of the later releases (particularly 1.5).

i picked up 1.4 since it was listed as the last complete stable (read: not beta) build they released. im so far pretty situated with how everything works so far, but i do like the sound of less painless lol  :)

ok well if you've got into 1.4 then thats ok...
I was just worried you would have picked up 1.5 which is a totally different experience all together.
