nvidia is easy to install. just compile the drivers using your kernel's source. it has some nice installer. well at least it was so 4 years ago when I was using mandrake linux

have same problem on gentoo (gentoo prefers its own way, by doing emerge nvidia-drivers :wink: ) i have drivers installed, configured, glxgears work, nvidia screen appears on startup but... i get this message when im trying to install drivers from nvidia web site, it just crashes, no output, no nothing. Guess every distro have its own way

gentoo is a distro for ppl with a clue about linux internals, and for idiots. We both know which one you are.
