don't aliens get trappers at s2? maybe if they stopped making egg farms or building the trappers on the floors they could pseudocamp too and get to s3.

If goons are put in s2, then you guaranteeing that humans always hit s2 first.    If guaranteeing s2 to humans is okay, you might as well leave alien stages the same and just start humans off with pulse rifles, helmets, and grenades.  

I think people are trying to fix something that isn't broke.  You can't look at each individual piece of the game for balance,  you have to look at the bigger picture.  The bigger picture of Tremulous is as balanced as it can get.

Grenades and ranged weapons make camping on alien a nil point.
