Announcing Balance Mod for SVN 755 (1.1.0)

This sounds really exciting. Could you explain how to run the mod though?

I downloaded the pk3 file and put it in my tremulous directory under a new file named balance, but when I click Mods on the game menu, nothing comes up in the list.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

AAAAAARGH! No more SVN755 bugs! NEVER AGAIN!

The patch is not specific to SVN 755. I just don't know how to make a client/server pk3 for any other version. If anyone can help out, it would be greatly appreciated.

You can get rid of the problem you have by putting the QVM files into a PK3 archive. Anyway, everybody who wants to connect to your server will need the new client executable, not just QVMs. SVN client won't load old QVMs and old clients (both vanilla and backport) won't load the new ones.

If you drop the client changes for a while, you could split the patch into client and server parts and then apply the server part on SVN and client part on backport sources. That way, you could make old clients work with your mod.
If my answer to your problem doesn't seem helpful, it means I won't help you until you show some effort to fix your problem yourself!
1.2.0 release's been delayed for 5:48:00 already because of stupid questions.
