the main point in getting it out, is to get someone to fix the textures.
Texturing is a significant step in the mapping process and I'll be the first to admit it is much more difficult than it looks. I'm not a fan of texturing a map when it's finished, textures are as much a part of your map as brushes and patches. Sure, you can use find/replace but re-texturing an existing map is quite a different story.
Make a backup copy of your map, open the textures window, play around, become the texture Guru!
EditI downloaded your map and had a look around. Your texture work is not the biggest problem. Colors and design are a matter of taste, so I won't be talking about that.
You did think about texture sizes and matching them up with your brushes, with some experimenting I'm sure you will master it eventually.
You caulked it

A far greater problem is the layout, to put it blunt, I think it won't work. Don't release it. Play it a few times with some friends and start a new one
There is one big problem you
will have to correct: the textures in your .pk3 are in a folder called
atcs. You also copied the atcs .shader file but you left the original names. Rename everything from
atcs to
darkness. You can correct your .shader
and .map with a simple replace operation in your favorite text editor.
If you do not correct this, your map will break other maps (notably atcs), players will curse you and admins will ban your map from their servers.
Don't let this discourage you. Mapping is as much an art as it is a science and it takes a lot of effort.
