Heh, I'm not sure what the alien side would do with all that cash though :P

Another thing about the money system is it 'sorts the men from the boys' so to speak. In this respect, it helps keep lucis out of the hands of 'UnnamedPlayer's.

I see your frustration, but it's not all that hard to get money again if you know how to repair and build as a con-kit-man.

You mean the cash bonus for camping in a dark corner ? Meh I've got better things to do than wait 5 minutes doing nothing behind my turrets until I get enouth bonus cash to buy a good weapon :)

Survivor

Simply helping the better equipped players of your team to get a kill is very rewarding as a human. In the late stages this can give some nice creds due to the very fair point distribution system. It's a lot harder as an alien but still not impossible.
I'm busy. I'll ignore you later.

If it is early in the game, and i cant build up creds after trying, i usually hide or build, and then when i get a decient amount, i go fight.

In this new patch is the adv bask going to get beefed up so that someone might actually buy it. Is a adv dretch being considered.

Well, I'd agree with this.  I think we could make aliens (and humans, maybe) able to push each other.  This would have to be proportional to mass/size (tyrants can shove dretches all over, but not necessarily each other).  I think you can do this in Quake 4 (not completely sure).  I think it might help our problem :

Why, adv bassi I have seen used plenty and very effectively. We don't need to make it noob friendly. Also, dretches are fine, they can easily do heavy damage and are deadly in an effective base with poison.

What about different game settings. Like being able to limit what type of things you can buy or evolve into along if you can spawn with a set number of credits. It would be lots of fun to have Dretchs/Bassys vs Humans with Rifle/Lasgun or something..you know?

you should add a alien :advmarauder:  called Kraken that can spawn and carry other aleins and still build plus turns off turrts add telsa but is really slow or add a suit :battlesuit:  called D.R.A.G.O.O.N. that has a jetpack that increses your speed but only can use powered fist to attack. these commeits may not matter and i know i suck at spelling but thiunk about on the D.R.A.G.O.O.N. suit and Kraken

Heh, humans vs. humans games!

I do like the idea of limited weapons/classes, though, would make for a lot more variety between servers.

You can.
There is a server command to disallow weapons, equipment, or classes.
Usually used for lucifer cannon, I wonder why...

Some unit ideas from me ;)

Whats about a medic unit for each team? as long as you are in touch! you get health ;) ( You have to touch the person/skin) But only one per team...


Or flying mines? 1 per team, and only build able from the build class?

And whats about a "troop" system? To increase team play? For example:

Humans: If a person is in Battlesuit and two are in maximal light suit they get attack boost?

Aliens: One tyrant and maximal two marus get attack boost?

Or aliens could spray an acid swallow? When marines run over it they lose speed?

And marines could spray an anti biomorph acid that make damage to aliens?

And whats up with rade/wrath? After killing two marines(aliens) with less than 10 HP a marine/alien get in rage/ wrath with a hp bonus of 50?

well some ideas to make the game more fun ^^ Surely you could change the effects of these ideas ;)

well the marines had a big problem... they are too slow.. why? If both teams are "attacking" friendly. The aliens will win, cause they can move there units faster in to combat. I suggest to increase the respawn time of the marines

I can only agree that the adv basi special attack needs a boost. I'll just note that the helmet has no effect on it :) In fact, it's the light armor that makes you imune to that attack :D Really, I'm not joking.

Money for players joining during SD is nice, but I would rather have the "free money for staying alive" still valid during SD. I think it hurts the goal of SD to disable it.

what? you're telling me that instead of a 90credit piece of equipment from S2, humans are safe with a 70credit piece of equipment from S1? okay...that's fu**ed up...I really want to see the alien's dependancy on the OM increased...the only things that really happen is the structures stop working and they cant build anything, that doesnt matter much (unless the aliens are dependant on eggspam) because aliens dont really need much of a base. For humans, their medistats dont work (halving the regen on aliens would balance)...jetpaacks dont work (equipment, kinda like alien radar) hey....do helmets work when the reactor is down?

Jetpack I have no opinions on it. Except that I'll probably miss the "falling to death by lack of reactor" part. I do not usually comment on something unless I agree totaly or disagree strongly with it.

Those messages show up in the server log. I'm pretty sure that it would be easy to add the the qvm.

If you mean viewable for the team killing the buildings then I suppose it would be ok. But to be honest I dont think its really needed. But I have no real objections against it - just a bit superfluous to requirements.
