learning to mod
« on: March 17, 2007, 04:00:42 pm »
hello,

i'm interested in learning to mod and i'm learning to program in c in order to do so. i was hoping that some of the experienced modders on this list might be able to give me some advice.

one of the first bits i need to learn is how to alter menus. can someone give me a quick explanation of which files in the source code relate to menus and what each one does?

thanks for your time

If you dont know c at all, dont jump in with menus.
Dont bother reading the source code if you started learning c recently...

Learn the basics.

hi relay,

i'm steadily working my way through the basics of c, but i wouldn't mind playing around with the source code at the same time.

can you recommend any part of the source code that would be less intimidating than the menus?

thanks.

Trem-source is a very bad way to start messing around in C.
IMHO are the menues the simplest part of Trem .)

To get some eperience, head on over to freshmeat.net and check out some sources to progs that you could actually need and improve.
