So yeah i donwloaded the game n such.....registered this account n all...but when i play the games the server, map and...well everything is empty!!!! what do i do to play against other people n stuff?

Click Play > Source: Internet > Get new list

Ya when you open tremulous, click play, than in the top right hit source: internet, not lan or anything. Than get new list, and I do refresh list after that just out of pointless habit...  :D  If it still doesnt work, maybe your internet is down  8)

that should be changed. It will discourage people who just started playing and does not know this forum and doesn't know anything except for wanting to play trem

yeah... and let's make trem play for them...

that's not a solution.  the only solution is to make people THINK themselves. some people just think they click 'download' then 'install' and then 'play' and that's it... some of them don't even know that games give them a possibility to change some options. then they ask:
-why the game looks so poor?
you answer:
-change the settings.
-what settings? where?
...

people must learn that computer won't do everything for them.
programmers spend a mass of time to make games as much configurable as possible in order to suit needs of most of the players out there, and yet some think the game will autoscan their brains and automatically set the settings they like the most...

We just cannot take away the choice from all of the people, just because some people are to lazy to choose.

the people that don't know that they should click the 'source:internet' etc. things are in minority. and some of them just don't want to know about that.

And this is not against blind_birds - it's ok to don't know. and it's ok to ask if you don't know.
What I mean is that there are also ignorants that wouldn't even bother to ask 'why everything is empty' and throw trem away.
It's not worth to change anything for them. because of their ignorance.

sorry for the rant, but I had to do it :P
I've been bugged lately by one of the 'don't make me choose, because computer should do everything for me' people... :roll:
