How hard do you modders think it would be to effect an Extreme Granger Games mod?

You'd have to make both teams as differantly colored grangers, restrict some classes... maybe more. Anyone up for it?

Benmachine and Floodbud have made mods that alter the colors of classes/items. If they wanted, they could probably help.

Risujin is most likely knowledgeable about restricting certain classes.

Hi. I could probably make a start on this as a clientside mod. How does restricting the alien team to four colours of grangers sound? Making both teams alien is harder but not impossible. The main issue is, in order to distinguish the buildables you'd have to reskin half of them - not hard in itself, but the clientside download will be ouch.

are there still any benmachine mod servers running?

There's always (nearly always) [Derelict]benmachine's mod, hosted by DarkDodo, but I've seen one or two others from time to time.

actually they just need to use your mod, restrict other classes, balance sides

but in my mod if humans build an egg only aliens can spawn from it... that doesn't sound hard to work around, but then you've got two different types of egg and it's pretty hard to tell which is which.

Loved the grangergames on CoM server, but they died(). Haven't played it in a long time!!!

We were looking for a server-side mod, or a mod builtin to a map. Hopefully, that would generate anywhere between 2-4 teams of players, all different colors, most likely green, red, blue and yellow.

raWr - that was the coolest server, with HighRise18 (goon pwnage of n00b hummies), granger games, both bases on ATCS in the middle of the arena, one-room maps with dretches & grangers vs. stage 1 humans, etc. & c.

which is three full-time jobs
not including Trem, which would be a 4th

BTW, there is a two room map called foto, pk3 is foto_ita, might be useful for some number of the games--it is a very small download, but appears to have a missing texture.

We should start by quantifying all changes that need to be made to the system, in order to accomidate as many game types as possible. Let's go through each game type and see what mods we'd have to add to make that game type work.

Then once we have that plan in place, we can find coders willing to do it.

Need nearly fully working humans and aliens, plus atleast two teams of grangers, one with atleast the reac as a default buildable, maybe some other things as well.  Risujin's layout system could also be helpful.

Rotate it so that the gn is upside down, so then you dont see the handle there... unless its supposed to actually be a chain instead of a granger
