Ehrm...

Hm?

Edit: Oh good. You see, before you edited it, your first post was just >__<. Now I can understand.

Well, I just start tremded.exe.

Now I've started using the tremserver one. Which one should I use, and how can I see my server in the list?

When I use tremserver, I don't get that error. Still can't see my serv in the list though.

Gonna recheck my routers. Should tremmy be tcp or udp?

i usually start it through cmd.exe

change the directory to where your tremded and tremulous are and type

tremded.exe +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg

is this what youre doing?

im pretty sure its udp

if you have a router problem, you have to add +net_port 3072 or something like that at the end...but im really no good at this

i just thought i would try and help until someone who new what they were talking about decided to help you :\

Great, well, thanks for trying to help anyways. I'll try starting it up like you said.

One sec...

Well, didn't know how to change the directory... But anyways, I think what you're telling me to do is exactly what tremserver.bat does. So, thanks for the help, but I'm pretty sure it won't do anything. >.<

BTW, the port I'm using is 32123. (yes, from the guide.)

the windows server is basically just a renamed client, but since it is an svn client and not a 1.1 client it has syscalls that don't line up with the ui.qvm in data-1.1.0.pk3, you need to start it with +set dedicated 2 (or 1) to make it start at all.

cd..
-to go back a directory

cd DirectoryName
-to change to a directory

I believe you start out in - C:\Documents and Settings\Username>
Then use "cd.." and "cd DirectoryName" accordingly.

Hey, Anti, Remember Me? Pity I couldn't get my server up in two hours, but anyway.

You'll want to open cmd.exe, then use "cd" to change directories to your folder that has tremded.exe. Then you'll want to start the server by using ./tremded.exe +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg.
Think that's right.

Heya. :).  Didya fix your serv now?

Tried it, but it's still giving me that same "recursive error".

What could be causing that?

Try it again and post here the command you used to run tremded. +set dedicated 1 or +set dedicated 2 makes tremulous client (which is also tremded on Windows ) skip loading other QVMs than game.qvm fixing your problem.
If my answer to your problem doesn't seem helpful, it means I won't help you until you show some effort to fix your problem yourself!

Heh, I think I get what you're saying.

Anyways, for those of you who might take that literally, I use tremded.exe...

which means it should tremded. +set dedicated 2.

tremded.bat makes the same thing..

except they both have that exec server thing before net_port, which I don't think would be a problem...

I said, tremserver.bat, right?

So that's:  tremded.exe +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg +set net_port 32123.

There ya go. Sorry for any confusion.

Here's some stuff from the start-up:

5614 files in pk3 files
Loading vm file vm/game.qvm...
...which has vmMagic VM_MAGIC_VER2
Loading 967 jump table targets
VM file game compiled to 1278421 bytes of code
game loaded in 34216320 bytes on the hunk

gamedate: Jan 20 2007

!readconfig: loaded 6 levels, 1 admins, 0 bans, 0 commands

But those are all settings, right?

Well, after working with some of this, redownloading all the files again, once again putting them in different places, once again redoing all of the settings, I think I've got it to work. I can log into my server, do admin commands, everything. Now I've just got to test to see if other players can connect. Thanks to everyone here for all the quick help and replies, I'll be sure to come back if I ever need anything again (Tremulous related . Thanks a lot guys.
